Reading the Bell & Gossett Motor Nameplate
When ordering a replacement Bell & Gossett motor: Record the information located on the pump identification plate (located either on the bearing assembly or -- if a floor-mounted pump -- on the pump ID pate located on the base). Next, go to the motor and record the motor horsepower, voltage and motor part number (forget about the 3-digit date code). Now, you have the information needed to order the correct replacement motor.
