Steam pipe insulation from State Supply is a premium grade, commercial quality product: Comprised of 1 inch thick compressed fiberglass, the steam pipe insulation is bonded to an aluminum surface jacket to ensure both a positive vapor seal and greater heat retention. The aluminum jacket is then bonded to and surrounded by a white-colored, yarn reinforced Kraft textile exterior covering. The three foot long insulation sections are hinge beveled at the bottom and split open lengthwise for easy installation. The sections have an integrated, protected peel-off adhesive strip to securely seal the lengthwise split upon installation around the pipe. Rated up to 850 degrees F. Approximate R factor: 5.
