Barnes & Jones Cage Unit thermostats for steam traps are made for every brand name of radiator steam trap! Cage Units replace the original thermostat found in every brand of radiator trap. Economically priced and easy to install, Cage Units quickly close the trap when surrounded by steam (to keep the steam in the radiator), while opening the trap when surrounded by hot condensate (to let the water go back to the boiler). Select the Cage Unit specially made for each specific brand and model of steam trap you want to repair. An absolute breeze to install, makes steam trap repair easy! Barnes & Jones Cage Unit Description

Barnes & Jones Cage Units can repair or upgrade over 800 different steam trap housings. The cage unit comprises all working parts of a radiator trap including the seat. All parts 100% factory-calibrated together under actual steam conditions at the Barnes & Jones factory and are locked into the precisely correct working relationship within a stainless steel housing. This is a one piece, stand alone, fully removable and testable trap within a trap. There are no loose parts to contend with. Gone is the potential of over-tightening, under-tightening, cross-threading or misaligning assorted pieces of a "repair kit".

  • Forged brass cover, union nut and tailpiece
  • Corrosion resistant seat and plug with option of stainless steel
  • Factory calibrated to ensure absolute uniformity and performance
