Armstrong Model 15-B4 - B Series 1" 15 psi Cast Iron F&T Trap

The Armstrong float and thermostatic (F&T) steam trap, model 15-B4, features a 1" trap connection in a same side configuration. The trap allows steam to enter from one side of the trap, and the condensate to discharge from the same side of the trap. B Series F&T traps are continuous drainage and are designed for low and medium pressure steam mains. B Series F&T traps use a pressure balanced thermostatic wafer. The 15-B4 is cast iron and has a 15 psi maximum operating pressure. This trap has a capacity for 575 pounds per hour. The traps are designed for service on heat exchange equipment where there is a need to vent air and non-condensable gases quickly. They are recommended for modulating pressures where widely varying loads are present and are a good choice for their ability to vent air at very low pressures, handle start up air loads, and operate against back pressure.
