Overview
The Armstrong float and thermostatic (F&T) steam trap, model 50-K10, features a 2-1/2" trap connection in a same side configuration. The trap allows steam to enter from one side of the trap, and the condensate to discharge from the same side of the trap. K Series ultra-high capacity F&T traps are designed to discharge large quantities of condensate from large heat producing units, such as heat exchangers, big unit heaters, etc. The 50-K10 is cast iron and has a 50 psi maximum operating pressure. This trap has a capacity for 105,000 pounds per hour. The mechanism and seat are made from stainless steel, and the balanced pressure thermostatic air vent is made of stainless steel with a phosphor bronze bellows. The entire thermostatic unit is caged in stainless steel.
