Overview
The Barnes & Jones float and thermostatic (F&T) steam trap, model FT2125-6, features a 1-1/2" trap connection in a same side, H-pattern configuration. This pattern allows steam to enter from either side of the trap, and the condensate to discharge from either the opposite or the same side of the trap. This configuration also allows for more flexibility when piping in. 2000 Series F&T traps are continuous drainage and are designed for low, medium, and high pressure steam mains and come standard with stainless steel internal parts. The FT2125-6 is cast iron and has a 125 psi maximum operating pressure. This trap has a capacity for 4,725 pounds per hour. The traps are designed for service on heat exchange equipment where there is a need to vent air and non-condensable gases quickly. They are recommended for modulating pressures where widely varying loads are present and are a good choice for their ability to vent air at very low pressures, handle start up air loads, and operate against back pressure.

Brand
Barnes & Jones was founded before the turn of the century by two engineers who applied their expertise to build quiet and efficient steam heating traps and systems. Today, Barnes & Jones manufactures 100% calibrated cage unit inserts, the recognized standard in the steam heating repair kit market, for every heating steam trap body ever made. Barnes & Jones products are available throughout North America, Central and South America, and most of Europe. The operating principle of these cage units, first introduced in 1902, remains unchanged as cage units emerge, today, as the preferred automatic valving solution for high-tech environmental control systems.
