Overview
Bell & Gossett model 1170-75 bronze hot water relief valve in an angle pattern with a 1" inlet and a 1" outlet. This valve can be set at 75 psi and has a 2,385,000 BTU capacity. Cast iron or bronze safety relief valves are designed for fired and unfired hot water pressure vessels to protect against overpressure conditions. Cast iron models are used for hot water heating boilers and bronze models can be used on direct fired water heaters, or storage tanks with indirect heaters to match the BTU loads of the heat exchangers. Their maximum pressure is 125 psi and their maximum temperature is 250°F.
