Overview
The Bell & Gossett 1BN330 model HFT-30V is a diaphragm-type expansion tank with a tank volume of 14 gallons and an acceptance volume of 11.3 gallons. It has a 1" female threaded system connection and is pre-charged to 12 psi. The maximum design pressure is 100 psi, and the maximum design temperature is 240 degrees Fahrenheit. The Series HFT tanks absorb the force of thermal expansion when heating water and maintain proper pressurization in a closed hydronic system. The heavy-duty butyl diaphragm separates system water from the air in the tank, thereby preventing waterlogging problems. These tanks work best in residential and light commercial HVAC applications. Not for potable water systems.
