Mepco Vacuum Pumps
Mepco (formerly known as Dunham-Bush) steam vacuum pumps are a combination tank and pump unit. They are available in simplex (one pump for air removal, one for condensate) or duplex (two pumps for air removal, two pumps for condensate). Steam vacuum pumps eliminate air from the system, allowing for free-flow of steam, while discharging condensate back to the boiler feed tank or directly back to the boiler. The diameter of the return piping is smaller than the piping sizes found in standard gravity-like steam condensate return systems.
