Overview
The Shipco 503DC is a "Durable Cast Iron" condensate pump designed to collect return condensate from steam systems and return it to the boiler. Water levels are maintained by a mechanical make-up water valve with stainless steel float and rod. Shipco condensate units have cast iron receiver tanks with gauge glass assemblies. The centrifugal pump is bronze-fitted. The 503DC has a 2" connection and a 3 HP, 3450 RPM, 208-230/460V three phase motor. The 503DC is a simplex unit, with an 81 gallon tank, capable of pumping 75 gallons per minute at 30 psi and 50,000 EDR.
