Overview
Spirax-Sarco float mechanism, less float, for 1-1/2" FT-15 F&T traps. Float mechanisms allow condensate to drain from the trap. The mechanism is a lever and seat operation and is held in place by screwing the seat into the outlet port within the trap. With the float attached to this mechanism, the weight of the float keeps the lever down, in turn keeping the seat closed when steam is present. When the steam cools and turns to condensate, the trap fills causing the float to rise and open the seat allowing the condensate to drain.
