Spirax-Sarco Pressure Pilots

Spirax-Sarco pressure pilots open and close the main valve by sensing steam flow through them. The pilot valves are controlled by a pressure spring that comes in three pressure ranges: 3 lbs. to 30 lbs., 20 lbs. to 100 lbs., and 80 lbs. to 250 lbs. These pressures are adjustable within their ranges by an adjustment nut on top of the pilot. The pilot has a downstream sensing line which tells the valve to put more pressure on the main valves diaphragm in order to open and allow more steam to pass, as the demand is met, to then decrease the pressure, which relieves the pressure on the main valve diaphragm causing it to throttle to the close position. Spirax-Sarco pressure pilots are suitable for steam applications and offer a wide choice of control options. They can accurately control pressure regardless of variations in upstream pressure and steam load condition.
